Potoff Private Philanthropy (PPP) believes career and technical education (CTE) is a smart investment for students who want to earn competitive wages and gain real-world experience immediately after high school. Skills-based training not only helps refine career paths but also provides a debt-free foundation for future education. As the education-to-work landscape evolves, PPP’s goal is to expand access to meaningful careers and economic security.
Fields like cybersecurity, welding, culinary arts, veterinary science, aviation, construction, and health care offer high-value opportunities for students with marketable skills. These students can start earning right after graduation, gaining maturity and financial independence—while keeping the door open for further education without debt.
CTE isn’t an alternative to college—it’s an enhanced route. Many students benefit from entering the workforce first, using trade skills to fund future degrees. PPP supports this vision through initiatives like the Potoff Endowed Chair at Pima JTED, a tuition-free CTE program in Southern Arizona for students under 22. The Chair promotes early career exploration, mentorship, and job placement—empowering students to build a productive and fulfilling life.
PPP is committed to helping K-12 students discover their spark and follow a path toward long-term success.
